HDD lifting & handling equipment
On HDD job sites, materials such as drill rods and product pipes must be frequently lifted, moved, and positioned during drilling operations. To ensure safe and efficient workflow, we provide dedicated HDD lifting and handling equipment designed specifically for horizontal directional drilling applications.
For drill rod handling, a compact hydraulic rod handling grapple is used. This system allows safe picking, lifting, and positioning of drill rods during loading and unloading operations. Its slim design provides easy access to rods stored in racks or rod boxes, while the hydraulic clamping system ensures a secure grip at all times. A built-in rotator enables precise alignment with the drilling rig. With a lifting capacity of up to 300 kg, it replaces manual handling and significantly improves safety on site.
For product pipe support during pullback operations, a heavy-duty roller cradle system is used. It is suitable for pipes up to 500 mm diameter and ensures smooth and controlled pipe movement during installation. The integrated rollers reduce friction and keep the pipe stable throughout the process. With a load capacity of up to 2520 kg, it is designed for demanding HDD applications.
